The Color Edit: Beyond Trends.
I notice things before I know why they matter — a shift in how someone wears their color, a phrase that keeps coming up in conversation, the same idea showing up in three unrelated places within a week. The Color Edit is where I gather what's actually worth noticing: the shifts in technique, the request that stops sounding like a trend and starts sounding like a habit, the ideas that say something true about how people want to look and feel. Some of it is a trend. Most of it, I think, is something closer to a pattern. I'd rather point to what's real than express enthusiasm about what's new.
The trend will move on. The pattern usually doesn't.
