I'm a New York City–based Master Hair Colorist with over 35 years of experience working with clients through every stage of life.

My work has evolved alongside the clients I serve. AlbertColor exists because many of the conversations I have in the salon deserve a longer answer than an appointment allows.

Early in my career, I built a reputation for precision and technical mastery. My time at the legendary John Sahag Workshop further refined my eye for balance, tone, and proportion — deepening a foundation I'd already begun building. That discipline still informs my work today: hair must move naturally, tones must feel intentional, and results must hold up in real life.

I've worked with thousands of clients through career changes, motherhood, gray transitions, reinventions, and the quiet moments in between.

I've watched trends come and go, but the conversations rarely change. People don't come looking for a color formula.

They come looking for clarity. My role has never been to convince someone of who they should become.

It's to help reveal who they already are.

Aging, I believe, is not something to fight. It is something that clarifies.

As identity sharpens over time, beauty decisions become more deliberate. Hair often marks transition — a new chapter, a career shift, a personal loss, a return to self. In those moments, I don't think the goal is dramatic reinvention. It's alignment.

My approach centers on reassurance rooted in honesty. I listen carefully, speak plainly, and guide clients toward choices that support who they are now.

What I Actually Do

Rather than spectacle, I specialize in refined, low-maintenance, lived-in color that evolves naturally — soft balayage, corrective color, and keratin smoothing treatments that prioritize hair health.

I'm also often asked about gray blending, so I want to be direct here, too: it's a real and useful term, but it refers to an outcome, not a single technique.
