About Albert Narcisse
I'm a New York City–based Master Hair Colorist with over 35 years of experience working with women through every stage of life — from early experimentation to gray transitions and major reinventions.
My work has evolved alongside the women I serve.
35 Years of Color Artistry in New York City
Early in my career, I built a reputation for precision and technical mastery. My time at the legendary John Sahag Workshop further refined my eye for balance, tone, and proportion — deepening a foundation I'd already begun building. That discipline still informs my work today: hair must move naturally, tones must feel intentional, and results must hold up in real life.
Over decades of working closely with clients, I noticed something more important than trends. In a city defined by reinvention, I've stayed disciplined: color should evolve seamlessly, never demand maintenance or attention.
The women who felt most confident weren't chasing the newest look. They were refining what already worked.
A Philosophy Built on Intention, Not Trends
Aging, I believe, is not something to fight. It is something that clarifies.
As identity sharpens over time, beauty decisions become more deliberate. Hair often marks transition — a new chapter, a career shift, a personal loss, a return to self. In those moments, I don't think the goal is dramatic reinvention. It's alignment.
My approach centers on reassurance rooted in honesty. I listen carefully, speak plainly, and guide clients toward choices that support who they are now — not who they feel pressured to compete with.
Comparison creates urgency.
Urgency leads to overcorrection.
Intention restores presence.
Beauty becomes powerful when you own who you are.
What I Actually Do
Rather than spectacle, I specialize in refined, lived-in color that evolves naturally — soft balayage, corrective color, and keratin smoothing treatments that prioritize hair health.
I'm also often asked about gray blending, so I want to be direct here, too: it's a real and useful term, but it refers to an outcome, not a single technique. The right approach depends entirely on the hair in front of me — density, growth pattern, how much gray is present, and texture. I walk through this with nearly every client in consultation, because the term alone doesn't tell you what will actually happen in the chair.

The AlbertColor Experience
Every appointment is one-on-one and highly personalized at OonArvelo Salon in Midtown Manhattan. I've built it to be calm, focused, and discreet — designed for women who value steadiness over drama and clarity over trends.
Effortless Color For The Real You isn't just a tagline to me. It's a philosophy.
I don't think great hair should ever feel like a performance. It should feel intentional. It should support your presence — not compete with it.
Because the most refined beauty isn't created in youth, it's clarified over time.
I'm the founder of AlbertColor, a refined hair color experience in Midtown Manhattan built around the belief that great color should feel like you — only better.
